Who knew learning about the regions could be so much fun and yummy?!? As a way to end our study of the regions we made cookies in the shape of SC and put various yummy ingredients on it that represented each of our 6 regions. :)
Chocolate chips for the Blue Ridge mountains….
Twizzlers for the Piedmont and breadcrumbs for the Sandhills…
Yellow and brown M&M's for the Inner and Outer Coastal Plains…
Finally, we left the blue icing to represent the Coastal Zone.
Next on the agenda, we took pictures and placed our cookies into baggies to enjoy at home with our families.

Hopefully this fun and yummy lesson only reinforced the concepts learned and will be a wonderful 3rd grade memory. :)
