We had Career Vehicle Day last Friday. We were very fortunate to have so many different professionals share their careers with us and how important having an education is in life. Mr. Prevatte and his friend, Derrick Teadder came for SCANA.
The kids loved all the tricks and wanted them to pick up their little teacher with the crane. LOL!
Next, we visited a Richland County Investigator who shared with us about his job.
Mr. Gallegos even let us take turns with turning on his siren. :)
Wow! That's really loud!
After we visited with some Highway Patrol officers!
The kids loved the undercover cop car!
The crane operator was a big hit as well.
The kids were amazed at how tall it was and how much it could actually lift.
Moving on to the "bug man."
The tarantula was so huge! This is where Mrs. P wanted to cruise on to the next visitor. LOL! I can't stand spiders. :(
The butterflies though were super pretty to look at and it's amazing how many different species of insects there are in this world.
The kids loved this Prissy Paws mobile grooming and especially loved petting the dogs!
Amberly's dad was able to come and visit with us and share with us his responsibilities each day working for the sheriff's office.
Spikes for tires of anyone speeding to get away...
handcuffs for locking up the bad guys...
Next, it's time to move on our CSI investigator who shared with us about crime scenes.
Last but not least, we paid a visit to our beloved men from the Army.
We were able to look inside their military vehicle and check out all the gear.
We salute you for your service and thank all our men and women who serve.
