Civil War Freedom Quilt

As a class learning about the Civil War we wanted students to be able to relate what it was like for the slaves.  We read the book, Night Boat to Freedom and had students draw pictures of what is most important to them in their lives.  Since none of our students know what it is like to be a slave we had them draw about what's most important to them like freedom was most important to slaves. We are so proud of our class' freedom quilt.  If you get a chance come check out our hallway display. :)
