Geologists for the Day!

Students were able to become geologists this week and dissect rocks during our "Mock Rocks" lab.  Mrs. Prevatte made some mock rocks with different minerals (shell, red and green gravel, cement) and had the students take apart the rocks and sort through each of the minerals.  Each year this lesson really helps the students understand the difference between rocks and minerals.

We had a "rockin' good time with this lab! :)
