Guidance Workshop

Last week we enjoyed some great lessons from our guidance counselors on understanding what people with disabilities endure each day. Students rotated stations in our Learning Commons and were able to take on some of these disabilities for just a few moments. Some students had to put blind folds on to demonstrate what it would be like to be blind. Others tried writing their names with their mouths because they couldn't use their hands. I was very proud of my students and how they realized all the obstacles people with disabilities have to overcome. I think it made them realize how fortunate they are and how they should go out of their way more to help those in need. We want to thank our guidance counselors and parent volunteers who worked so hard to set up for us.
