Box Tops - We reached the MOON!!!

We were able to enjoy a pizza party today for being the first 3rd grade class to make it to 1,000 Box Tops goal!  My boys and girls have been so dedicated to this project all year long.  I am so proud of them for reaching it and even though we have already won, they still want to support our school by bringing in box tops.  Thank you to all our parent volunteers who spend so much time collecting and counting them up. :) 

Post PASS Celebration- 'The Roarin' 20's'

We wanted to do our Roarin' 20's celebration before PASS but we circumstances beyond our control prevented us from doing that. Plus, we didn't want any distractions before PASS testing.  So, we voted and decided as a class to celebrate after PASS.  

We had Babe Ruth, Shoeless Joe Jackson, Bagger Vance, and plenty of flappers and other fashions of this decade.   We enjoyed some foods created during that time period as well such as: Yoo Hoos, Milky Ways, PB&J sandwiches, and Life-savors! Thank you to all our parents for the donations.  

Another MAP Reward

Students who met their goal in MAP Reading were rewarded with a giant chocolate chip cookie! It was a very sweet treat. :)

Reward for MAP Goal Met in Math!

I am so proud of all my students who improved and met their Math MAP goal this week.  We enjoyed some treat treats this past week - root beer and coke floats along with some extra recess. :)

Field Trip

Thank you to all my parents and chaperones for helping to make this field trip a success. The kids were well-behaved and enjoyed their scavenger hunts. I heard so many compliments from the kids that they loved being able to visually see the exhibits and relate it back to what we've been learning in the classroom.
